Fran J. Davies‘s Art Statement:
Creating art has been a lifelong passion for me. Growing up outside of NYC I was influenced by early trips to art museums and Broadway posters created by Milton Glaser, Jim McMullen, and Paul Davis. After earning a BFA in Illustration from Syracuse University I enjoyed a long career as an art/creative director in NYC advertising agencies. After moving to Charleston in 2018, I became involved in the vibrant art community here and my work is represented in two local galleries and a retail store.I have a ‘beginners mind’ and love exploring different mediums, subjects, and techniques as I continue my artistic journey. I am currently working on collage and abstracts, pastels, and local scenes in oil and acrylic.
