“In my painting titled “Innocence,” I endeavor to capture the complex interplay of emotions experienced by a young girl as she navigates the often conflicting realms of inner life and societal expectations. This artwork is a poignant reflection on the internal struggles that arise when innocence collides with the rigid social rules of behavior. At the heart of “Innocence” lies the notion of suppressed feelings. The young girl, with her eyes closed and tender features, embodies the purity and vulnerability of childhood. However, beneath her innocent facade, there runs a deeper current of emotions—longings, fears, and confusions—that society encourages her to restrain. Through her body language and subtle expressions, I aim to convey this tension, illustrating the profound silence that often accompanies childhood.”
