During the lockdown, the litany of depressing and distressing news overwhelmed everyone. Rightly so, because the arrival of Covid justified a major concern.
At some point, it became unbearable for me and I felt the need of bulwark against anxiety and the amplification of worry. The desire came to me to create a series of drawings on laughter; A laugh may be forced, but the idea is: as long as you are alive, you must be able to laugh at something.
Laughter is the present moment that defies fear.
This series of drawings reflects the desire to laugh, between couples, friends, parents and children, or even alone.
